By accessing or using useLadle ("the App") at useladle.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ladle LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
useLadle is a meal planning application that helps you organize recipes, plan weekly meals, and generate shopping lists. The App is currently available at useladle.com.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
A subscription account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@useladle.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Free Trial
New users receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all Pro features, including:
No payment method is required to start a trial. The trial period begins when you first launch the App and expires after 14 days.
Pro Subscription
A Pro subscription unlocks the full App and includes:
Pro subscriptions are available on a monthly basis ($4.99/month) or annual basis ($41.99/year). Pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice.
Credit Top-Ups
Pro subscribers may purchase additional import credits as consumable one-time purchases:
Top-up credits do not expire. Top-up credits are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by applicable law.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected). Payment is currently processed securely through Stripe.
Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
All prices are in US dollars unless otherwise indicated. We are not responsible for any foreign transaction fees or currency conversion charges imposed by your bank or card issuer.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Pro access until that date.
Refunds
Subscriptions purchased through useladle.com: We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied. Refund requests must be submitted to hello@useladle.com. Refunds are not available for renewal charges after the initial period, except as required by law.
Credit top-up purchases are non-refundable once any credits from that purchase have been used. Unused top-up credits from an unactivated purchase may be refunded within 7 days of purchase.
The App allows you to add, import, and store recipes and meal plans ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content. By using the App, you grant us no rights to Your Content beyond what is necessary to operate the service (e.g., syncing to cloud storage if you enable that feature).
You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of others. Recipe content imported from third-party websites remains subject to the copyright and terms of those sources.
The App, including its design, code, and all related materials, is owned by Ladle LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our express written permission.
The curated recipes included in the App have been collected from publicly available sources. Recipe content remains subject to the copyright of its original authors and sources. Your right to use these recipes through the App is for personal meal planning only. You may not reproduce or redistribute them commercially.
You agree not to:
The App integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Supabase (cloud sync), Loops (email), PostHog (analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
Recipe import features allow you to import content from third-party websites. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or continued accessibility of third-party content.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy of any recipe content, nutritional information, or imported content.
Nutritional information displayed in the App is approximate and for informational purposes only. It should not be relied upon for medical, dietary, or health decisions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ladle LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ladle LLC and its officers, directors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
For disputes involving amounts under $500, we encourage you to contact us at hello@useladle.com before initiating any legal proceedings. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue promptly.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in any conduct we deem harmful to the App or its users. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases. You may export your data before cancellation using the built-in export feature.
You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
